This screen is the first you will see when using ActiveNotes. This screen shows you all your notes in a table. You should see this screen when you select the All Notes button on the bottom toolbar. You can scroll through them and select one to view or edit. Just tap on the one you want to view or change. On the top line of each item, in large type, is the title of the note. On the bottom left, in smaller type, is the group that the note has been assigned to, if any. On the bottom right is the date on which the note was first created.
You can add new notes by tapping on the Add button on the top, and you can delete notes by tapping on the Del button.
This screen shows the Notes text area with a Keyboard. Enter your note, and tap on Save to save the note or Cancel to cancel your editing. You can use the Return key on the keyboard to enter a carriage return to get to a new line. As with all iOS device text areas, when editing text, you can reposition the cursor by holding your finger down until a magnifying glass appears and then you can drag it to where you want the cursor to be.
Almost all of the screens also work in landscape orientation, however this screen is the most useful one in that orientation, as it allows the use of a larger, easier to use keyboard.

This screen shows all the groups. You should see this screen when you select the Groups button on the bottom Toolbar. You select a group to see all the notes assigned to that group. ActiveNotes installs two groups automatically when it is first started, Personal and Business. You can delete these groups if you don't want them. All items that are not assigned to a group are automatically placed into the (unassigned) group, which cannot be deleted. The (unassigned) group can be hidden via the Settings Tool.
This screen shows the Search Screen. You should see this screen when you select the Search button on the bottom Toolbar. As you type in the search bar, the the table of notes under the search bar is updated to show any note which contains text that matches the search string that you type.
If you hit the DONE key, the keyboard is removed, allowing you to see the results of the search.
You can then tap on any of the notes in the table to view or edit that note. If you want to perform a new search, tap in the search bar to re-activate the keyboard.
